in this tutorial i assume that you already know how to add, delete, move, scale, rotate and all the basics of blender

what you will need to d first before making a fluid simulation is setting a domain, it is a box that determines the boundaries of the fluid simulation, no fluid can get out of it
think of it as a transparent container that holds the fluid
all the settings for fluid can be accessed from the physics tab as shown in the picture
